Hey guys can someone help me?

Have a 1997 dt466e and it has a knock, believe it to be a rod.

Also have a 1995 dt466 mechanical, I realize I would have to change the cam and cam cover. And the cylinder head. Can I make this work? Or is there another thing(s) I am missing?

Thank you!

I'm slightly confused here:

Are you wanting to take the 466 Mechanical and put in the 1997 in place of the 466e? If so, Your ECM will throw fits with that. Too many things that it won't get a signal from any longer. You should be able to make it run, but I would think that you'd have to completely take the ECM out of the loop.

Or are you wanting to take parts out of the 466 mechanical and put into the 466e? If so, Not much is going to be interchangable. I'm not positive on rod's and the block, but I think they are different enough to not fit with each other.

If you are asking something else, I apologize for not understanding. :)
