Hey guys,

Anybody having the issue of your C2's universal joint seizing up at the gearbox? We have been spraying fluid film on the joints of our 10' & 11' C2s.

A joint was removed this morning because of stiffness in the steering, and when it was removed the cups were dry and the pins all crumbled and fell out.

Has anyone found a fix for this or having this issue? possibly a greasable u-joint?

Thanks!

We just install new u joints as they wear out part number is SK000282 from freightliner, lube new joints with extra tacky grease before assy. Make sure to mark spline and tube to return unit to exact position as it eas when taken apart.

Visions had the same issue. Bluebird finally started offering a joint with grease fitting. To eyeball them they look the same.
