I am having problems with the Allison transmission 2000 series W/ECM which is used on a 2004-2005 Thomas Built school bus..they tend to leak trans fluid out of the plug that goes from the trans to the ECM it is mounted on the right hand side of the trans..we unplug it,spray with electrical cleaner, let it dry then re-plug it will work for a month or two then leak again..just seems to be a waste of money to purchase a new trans when it's just the plug..wondering is anyone having the same problem..any advise?? PLEASE..

Sometimes the plug in the tranny will push in just a bit when you plug the wiring harness back in. This will cause the oring that seals the connector to stop sealing. Unplug the harness and gently pull the tranny connector out with a needle nose pliars. Then with a screwdriver on the edge of the tranny connector plug in the wiring harness. There are tabs that lock the connector into the case but they can weaken and let the connector move back into the tranny .
