I am wondering what those of you with a large amount of vehicles equipt with these engines are planning on doing when they get out of warranty? This is the first year we are starting to spend substantial amounts of money to repair now they are out of warranty. There is talk of repowering with different engines or selling far short of lifespan of the chassis before the engines go. Has anyone done running completes with long term warranties? Running used engines? Other options?

| Don't have a large amount of them. Had two, traded one for a propane burner. Still have the one but it has been acting pretty good lately. I have notice a little smoke on start up. Wonder what that is? Can't imagine having a whole herd of them. Good luck |

| We have 22 and are spending a lot of time and money on maintenance but are keeping them on the road far better than having to play the warranty game with IH and waiting in line and then putting up with tech central's silly decisions on warranty repairs. |

| We have 12, and 1 had an EGR cooler dump water into the engine. They have been nothing but nightmares, and we have no plans of getting rid of them in the near future (Woohoo!). We'll probably be replacing EGR coolers and oil coolers quite often to prevent another disaster like the one that dumped water into the engine. Also the EGR valve needs to be cleaned quite often. |

| We will just run them like any other unit we have. 185,000 miles on the 6.0 and 35,000 on the VT365, neither have ever had any warranty work. |
Why yes, the ORIGinal CHARGER is a Fastback |

| We have 9 6.0 motors that all went out of warranty in 2011. One went to Ford for warranty work 27 times in 4 years, and the rest aren't much better. We have had a lot of problems with EGRs, several injectors, a couple turbos, and lots other problems. All of our other micro birds get oil change and service at 5,000 miles, but the 6.0s are done at 3,000 miles and that seems to have helped a bit. Our district keeps buses for 20 years or more, so I'm sure these will be here for a long time. |

| Here is some food for thought: http://dieselconversion.com/ swap out power plants to Cummins ISB. Would also be a good site for our party bus members. |

Pretty sure no kit exists for an E-350/E-450 |

| I was hoping to hear they were like the T444E and get better with age. |
