Here is an article about a new type D coming from Blue Bird. Sounds interesting.

My question is what happened to the new one thats featured on their website and they debuted 1-3 years ago with much hoopla and fanfare? Neighboring district just got 3 new ones and they are still the old design?????

Why yes, the ORIGinal CHARGER is a Fastback

Well, I don't know much about the type D buses because I don't run any. But I think they are running the new look on the RE and the old look on the FE. Or the other way around. Who knows what these companies do now days. Time will tell though.

At present the A3 and D3 are still offered. The A3 is more price competive, and that is why some districts are choosing them over the D3. The new T3 fixes many of the issues that were seen in the D3.

Talked to my salesman today. The A3 is done for at long last. The D3 is done for already. This new T3 will be the way of it. (We've heard this all before though).

I'm anxious to see one, it COULD be a good hybrid of old and new. I have an A3 sitting in GA waiting on a ride up to me any day now...sad to think it may be the last one I get.

Yay! I'm glad they rounded things out again, to put some shape back in the beast. I really despise all the boxes we've been getting lately.
