Anybody have any magic tricks to keep the PDU that some brilliant engineer decided to put under the bus by the LF wheel from rotting apart?

Had an 03 TCFE come in today with all sorts of electrical gremlins. Traced to to the box under there, bottom was virtually gone from rust, everything inside was corroded up. Ordered a complete new PDU with guts, custom build, 2-3 week wait time.

I also ordered a can of battery and ignition sealer from NAPA today, going to coat all the studs and whatnot inside the box after install...considering doing the same to all the newer buses in an attempt to prevent the internals from rotting.

What a Friday

Tupperware. Find a big container with a lid to cover the whole box maybe? Bolt the container to the frame put the PDU inside and snap on the lid. The dang road chemicals are terrible. I did use tupperware inside the battery box on a Freightliner. All those relays I put inside a sandwich container to keep from getting wet. I'll try and get a photo next time it's in for service.
