We are asking you to take part in a study of school bus danger zone using the student pedestrian vs. school bus stop arm signal violator proximity conflict topological map (PCTM). We want to learn how you as a subject matter expert (SME) in school bus transportation service rank fourteen different proximity conflict scenarios that depict various stop arm violator motorist incursions into the personal space of student pedestrians while they are approaching or alighting from their school bus. We further need to know your opinions regarding specific countermeasures that are related to each of the fourteen student pedestrian proximity conflict scenarios.
For school district transportation directors, supervisors or routing supervisors that complete the survey Dr. Turner will donate a single online textbook of your choice among five different titles currently available. (Titles choices include: The Hazardous Route Committee Handbook; Least Restrictive Transportation Environment Continuum: What Every IEP Committee Should Know; Special Needs Transportation Best Practice: Transporting Medically Fragile or Technology-Assisted Students; Special Needs Handbook.

Participants will complete the survey in 30 to 45 minutes, return the Word file to Dr. Turner and receive the online textbook of their choice immediately.
This research is done through the University of Texas at San Antonio during postdoctoral study of Dr. Turner.
