As a school bus driver in the Musquodoboit Harbour area, I was shocked at Education Minister Karen Casey’s recent comments about the negotiations between Stock Transportation and the bus drivers, monitors and mechanics who work for it – NSGEU Local 78B.

This attitude toward drivers causes the good to leave, the rotten to lay low, and the promissing to look elsewhere for employment. To have good employees one has to show respect to same, and give them a reason to stay. It costs thousands to train a rooky driver. Isn't it worth hundreds to keep seasoned drivers.
