I am beginning to think I need to go back to school on this one

we have a forward control blue bird 2001. problem is a harsh vibration and accompanying noise from the front brakes.

brakes are new drums replaced hardware new......

any ideas???

Rockwell Q brakes? What grade of lining are you using?

Pretty common complaint.

I slack off the brake and put a little Comet Cleanser or Fuller's Earth in through the inspection hole and re-adjust. It helps for a while.

In a severe case I found that scoring the drum with a hacksaw blade helps.
If it doesn't fit, FORCE it.
If it breaks, well, it needed replacing anyway.
Pullin' wrenches for 45 years.

I have this happen quite often also. I just tell them to drive it, after the shoes wear in a little the chattering goes away.

This happens on old and new lining. I have found it to be less of a problem by changing grades of lining to a 21000# lining from a 23000#. Drivers that are fairly light on the brake pedal seem to have more complaints of this. If it happened going forward I would be more concerned about it.
