I've noticed on several of our AmTran and IC RE's that the front heaters will sometimes make a rattling noise. It sounds as if something metal is being blown around inside the heater. I had this issue on my bus and a mechanic fixed it. Not sure what he did to fix or what the problem was. Has anyone else experienced anything like this? What causes this?
Sounds like the squirrel cage (Blower) is hitting the housing causing the noise. They have to sit just right in the housing or they will make a hell of a racket.
