We have only 6 --thank god-- '93 Genesis'. There all junk in my opinion. 336, 337, 338, 339, 341, 345. 801 was a proto-type for the '94 birds. 371 has a funky emergency door lock on it. These are SE buses. Don't know about RE except for 1424, 1425, 1426.

We have only one 2005 BB conventional w/wheelchair lift # 42. They ordered this bus but it's wierd because prior to that they have not ordered from BB since 1998. All of our buses will soon be IC

We have one oddball at my terminal. It's a 2003 Blue Bird TC2000. It's the size of a 71 passenger but has a lift so actual capacity is about 30 + 5 chairs. It's the only bus we have with a white roof, air brakes, an air horn and it's our only type D right now. It's also the only bus with the two panel mirrors with the bird logo. Most of the rest of our conventionals have double nickel mirrors.

Spicer is nicer.

In the next couple of months, we'll have a new 90 pass. Blue Bird All American FE. That bus will be the biggest BB that the county has ever got (that I know of).

My condolences regarding the Ward Patriots. Awful looking buses in my opinion.
2000 Carpenter Freightliners!! Now those are some rare buses! Any pics??

The Ward Patriots are ugly, however they are a blast to drive, just because they are diferent!!
I just drove 21 last friday, mine regular bus was in for a check up. It was pretty fun, they are really loud though!! I am trying to figure out how to get pics off my camera to the computer... I am new to all this... so bare with me, as soon as I figure it out I will post them.

I MISS MY WAYNE!!!!!

I saw an oddball in the fleet today while it was traveling on the road! I have been trying to see exactly what it was.

Does anyone know if this is a rare bus?

It was a BlueBird with an International Logo, (conventional) with the 3800 decal on it.

It didn't have black rubber rails. I think this bus has a manual transmission. It has a side emergency door as well as a rear emergency door. It's the only one like that in our fleet.

The only thing odd in our fleet is one of our charter buses (2005 FS-65) has the master controls on the right side versus the left console panel. Not very exciting huh?

Wow, most of your districts oddball lists are bigger than my districts entire fleet!
#15 : 2003 FS-65 : only conventional : only brand new bus in nine years
#50 : ???? All American RE : only bus bought used : most recently purchased : only one with blue seats
# 3 : ???? Crown Supercoach : oldest bus ; only one to have to warm up engine; it just looks odd
# 6 : ???? Gillig Phantom : only gillig : it is so squared off compared to the other buses
That was over half the fleet! These oddballs arn't ugly, or bad, just different (#15 is even my favorite)
All that was not mentioned is three BBAAREs, all at least 9 years old, and all with the same specs (#50 has the same specs too, and is also at least 9 years old)

Here we go... Spares first:

47- 1991 IHC 3800/ Carpenter (Only "CARPENTER" in the fleet)
48- 1990 IHC 3800/ Wayne (Only Wayne left in the fleet)

Regular Routes:

34- 2002 IHC 3800/ Blue Bird (only 2002 Bird in fleet- has T444E )
29- 2003 Freightliner FS65/Thomas (only 2003 FS65/Thomas in fleet)
35- 2005 IC CE 300 (only 2005 in fleet)
20- 2006 IC CE 200 (only 2006 in fleet)
21- 2007 IC CE 200 (only 2007 in fleet)
25- 2008 Thomas C2 (only 2008 in fleet)

Next "NEW" bus will either be a 2008 ?? before school starts or a 2009 ?? before the 2007-2008 school year ends. Right now, there are NO plans for a new bus for the rest of this year.

Lemme think...for Smithfield Public Schools, our oddballs are:

10- Shortest C2 in the Fleet, Only one to have Black hood, and only C2 eyebrows above the Warning lights (The others don't have that)Stop Sign lights flash faster.
19- Only C2s in the Fleet to have a lift mounted in the front (Other C2s have no lift at all, gotta check for spares.
21 and 24- Only Blue Bird Vision in the fleet to have a lift mounted in the front (The other three have no lift at all), Only 2 regular route buses to use all LED Lights (Newer Buses)

I still need to get to the yard and find out what the spares look like

These oddbals all have A/C, the others except 17,19,20,22,and 23 don't have A/C.

We've used Durham School Services since July 2015 after My Town gave up their DATTCO contract to save money.

West Clermont Local School District (operated by Petermann):
- One Thomas MVP EF, stuffed out of sight in a far corner in the yard. This bus has been cannibalized for parts - odd considering that the fleet is almost entirely IC conventionals.
- One Blue Bird TC2000FE
