As mentioned by many here is the model school bus section. From here on out all model school bus info, sales, and other junk should go here. This should help clear things up.

Please respect this thread.

No, it was discontinued. But it is a nice model. Try ebay.

Finally, lol. Before too long though, people will complain this thread is too long and have it deleted, like Fairfax was...lol
Anyway, does anyone know what styrene strips are, and where I could get it? Are they stiff like plastic?
I believe they were used on this bus to fill the gaps: http://www.1-87vehicles.org/photo118/chev_school_bus.php

Is this the Thomas RE in the discussion? The manufacturer was JUJ, not Sunnyside.

Finding the logo with the stripes behind it is very difficult, I have had to take the shield and add the stripes in paint. Good luck on that one.

It is not difficult at all, I have found several and recreated several. That is completely a lie.

If you need one, email me @ b0TdpzCQRp0BfP8S@spambox.us (Note: This is a redirect email, so it will forward your email to me).

Good place I found to find bus models is Europe. I bought a bunch of European transit buses...even the articulated models. They're not cheap...I paid between 12-30 Euro for each bus; the dollar is down in value so it cost more for me. (I withdrew 60 Euro which cost me almost $90).

Yeah, when I was in Europe they had some REALLy nice and detailed transit buses, but they were too expensive for me. I did end up with medium-quality an articulated model though:

It is about the size of the BB bus banks.
Do you have any pictures of the ones you bought?

That's similar to 3 I bought at Toys R Us in Germany, but different stickers. I did get a MAN bus that was diecast for almost 30 Euro...EXPENSIVE!! (but worth it since it's rare here) I don't have any pictures with me right now.

Why don't you try clicking these links after you post? Some people's host are private or have low bandwith that doesn't support hotlinking images...

Those are some sample logos that I assume may be the size to use on some models, I have a sheet of IC-CE logos (That are larger than this and more professionally done) which you can recieve by emailing me @ b0TdpzCQRp0BfP8S@spambox.us (Note: This is a redirect email, so it will forward your email to me).

If I haven't responded to your email yet, thats due to I am working on resizing the thing so its dialup friendly, and its on my other computer so I am still attempting to put it on a CD and get it here, haha.

How come the Siku Thomas in the left picture has Black around the warning lights and the other one don't? Also, I am planning on getting one, how do you do the lettering (with the "School Bus") in the way, and how long does it usually take to ship? Priority Mail.

If you are refering to my photobucket, then you saw the IC CE model, but the Siku does not have black around the warning lights. You can't order the lettering, so you have to paint over it or use something to get it off. It took mine less than a week

Because, eventually Sharpie will smudge really bad and wear off, then your bus will look like crap. Plus it looks really bad.

I am going to be brief on this. I have a few people that have e-mailed me about this topic. First DO NOT use Sharpie's on these models.

You will need some simple, basic supplies to customize these buses.
A ruler, exacto knife, or small box cutter with small blades, and Vinyl. Colored Vinyl can be purchased at any hobby store, but sign shops carry the best adhesive backed vinyls.

All of my black striping is made with glossy black vinyl, white roofs are glossy white vinyl. This is very simple to do. If you insist on using markers to out-line or touch up black, DO NOT use Sharpie's. I can not remember the brand name of the markers I use, but they are about 5 dollars per pen and they have a very, very, strong odor. Those are the best to use.

Most Hobby places like Michael's or Hobby Lobby have these. I have some one who has agreed to help me post a video on "youtube" on how I do some of these bus details. However this will not happen over the next 2 and half weeks. I am on vacation and I will NOT be doing this until mid January at the earliest. So please do not bombarde me with e-mails asking me when. I will post a message on here with the link and what the title is!

Hope Everyone has a Great and Safe Holiday!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
