HORSESHOE BEND, Idaho — A wheelchair-accessible school bus that belongs to Horseshoe Bend School District was set on fire around 5 a.m. on Nov. 8, a district official told KTVB.

The bus was parked at Horseshoe Bend High School, and the fire also damaged a nearby van, according to the news outlet. Laura Baker, a district spokeswoman, told KTVB the culprits also broke into the school’s professional-technical building, smashed windows and a computer screen and stole some tools.

The Idaho State Fire Marshal's Office told the news outlet the bus is a total loss and posted a photo of the damaged bus on its Facebook page. The fire marshal and Boise County Sheriff's Office are seeking information about the crime. The case is being treated as arson, according to KTVB.
