GALLOWAY TOWNSHIP, N.J. — Press of Atlantic City reports that six Atlantic County Special Services School District elementary school students and two adults were taken to the hospital after a collision involving their school bus and a truck last month. Three of the students were in wheelchairs.

Everyone involved in the accident appeared to have suffered only minor injuries, Chuck Uhl, chief of the Galloway Township EMS, told the newspaper.

Police told Press of Atlantic City that Christopher Gillis, who was driving a 2000 Isuzu box truck, stopped at an intersection but proceeded through it without making sure it was clear. His truck was struck by the school bus, driven by Christina Lindwall. Gillis was issued a summons for careless driving, police told the newspaper.
