FAIRFIELD, Conn. — A suspect is being sought in two “road rage” incidents, both of which involved special-needs children, police here said last week.

The Fairfield Police Department said that in the most recent occurrence, on the morning of July 10, a woman was buckling her 5-year-old daughter with special needs into her car seat on a school bus when a man exited his car and confronted the bus driver.

The man yelled about being delayed and “got into the bus driver’s face,” authorities said.

Another mother who also has a special-needs child said she had a similar experience in June. In that case, the man got out of his car to physically block her path and later passed several cars to catch up to the mother as she fled in her own vehicle.

The suspect was described as a well-dressed white male with gray hair and is believed to be in his late 60s. He drives a newer black Mercedes.
