BELMOND, Iowa — Students were treated in a hospital after the school bus they were riding was sprayed by a crop duster, the Associated Press reports.
Kirk Nelson, superintendent of the Belmond-Klemme Community School District, said at least seven students were in the bus when the crop duster sprayed what he believes was insecticide. Approximately 25 more students were then picked up.
The district contacted parents, and the students were taken to a local hospital as a precaution. Nelson said none of the students reported feeling ill.
