ENGLISHTOWN, N.J. — Units from the Manalapan Township Fire Co. #1 were dispatched here on Friday and found that a loaded dump truck had fallen on a small school bus.
Information on the fire company’s website indicates that the truck, which was filled with stones, apparently lost control, first striking a white SUV before it rolled over and landed on the bus.
It reportedly took three heavy-duty tow trucks and a bulldozer to bring the truck upright and to push away the stones from around the bus.
According to the fire company, there were no injuries and no children on the bus. However, Lt. Peter Cooke of the Englishtown Police Department told the Manalapan Patch that there was one child and an aide on the bus at the time.
