MACON, Ga. — As part of her sentence for an incident on a school bus in April, a 38-year-old woman must wear a sign proclaiming that she made a “fool” out of herself, The Telegraph reports.

Natasha Latrice Freeman pled guilty to battery and making terroristic threats during a hearing on Monday. On April 4, she boarded a Bibb County Public Schools bus and repeatedly struck her 11-year-old cousin and pulled the girl’s hair after a disagreement arose between the girl and Freeman’s son, the prosecutor in the case said. One of Freeman’s children on the bus and the driver broke up the fight.

During Monday’s hearing, Freeman told the judge she was sorry for her actions. Judge Howard Simms sentenced her to wear a sign that says, “I made a fool out of myself on a Bibb County Public Schools bus,” for a week at a school bus stop. Freeman also must help wash a bus, serve five years on probation and pay $500 in attorney fees.

Last month, a Cleveland motorist was ordered by a judge to wear a sign that said, “Only an idiot drives on the sidewalk to avoid a school bus."
