ORANGEBURG, S.C. — Two teens are facing multiple charges after they stole a school bus and crashed it into a building, The Times and Democrat reports.

The teens, ages 13 and 15, are charged with grand larceny in the theft of the bus and malicious injury to personal property for damaging a second bus, Sheriff Leroy Ravenell told the news source.

A Calhoun County sheriff’s deputy, South Carolina Highway Patrol and Orangeburg county and city officers pursued the bus after the deputy spotted the vehicle and it failed to pull over. The pursuit ended when the bus struck the building. The older teen was airlifted to a hospital after the crash, where his leg from the knee down was amputated, officials said.
