WESTFIELD, Ind. — IMMI will again offer its SafeGuard Summer Exchange Program, which gives school districts a discount on the purchase of a new STAR restraint when they retire an old restraint of any brand.

“It is so important for school officials to monitor the condition of the restraints they’re using to transport students,” said Matt Chaplin, field sales and service manager for IMMI. “With this program, school officials can be assured they’re providing high quality safety restraints for their students, while receiving an extra cost-saving benefit as well.”

The program will run from June 1 to Sept. 30, 2011. To participate, school districts cut the manufacturing labels and the webbing they’re sewn to from the retired products and ship them to IMMI.

The school district will then receive a coupon that can be applied to the purchase of any new STAR restraint from an authorized STAR distributor of its choice. For each valid product exchanged, the district will receive a coupon for $15 off one STAR restraint. Purchases using the coupon must be made before Dec. 31, 2011.

SafeGuard STAR five-point restraints are for transporting preschool, Head Start and special-needs children. Company officials said that they are intuitive and easy to use, safely securing and adapting to children of a wide range of sizes and needs.
