Driver with heart attack stops bus before busy intersection


FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — A school bus driver who experienced a heart attack while driving the bus on his afternoon route steered the vehicle into a retaining wall to stop the bus and avoid running into a power pole and busy intersection.

Officials from Fayetteville Public Schools commended the driver for his heroism.

No students were injured, and the driver was admitted to a local hospital, 5NEWS reported.

Wow. Good thing that the bus driver is okay and all the kids are okay... he really is heroic.

So glad that the kids are ok... I really hope that Driver is ok also. Thats our Job to protect these kids. Too many people take for granted our Job and think they are just drivers but in situations like this we are trained for act quickly for the safety of the kids and I applaud this driver for doing just that. Lets really pray that he is ok..
