FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — A school bus driver who experienced a heart attack while driving the bus on his afternoon route steered the vehicle into a retaining wall to stop the bus and avoid running into a power pole and busy intersection.

Officials from Fayetteville Public Schools commended the driver for his heroism.

No students were injured, and the driver was admitted to a local hospital, 5NEWS reported.
