In celebration of its upcoming 10th anniversary, Legal Routes is rolling back its subscription fees and offering a free eight-page premium edition to new and renewing subscribers.

The free issue, titled Things We Know, was compiled by Legal Routes Editor Peggy Burns from prior issues. It offers 26 topic areas of pertinent facts, ranging from length of ride to duty of care to sexual harassment on the school bus.

“It’s a quick and ready reminder you can turn to when questions or challenges come your way on key points of law, compliance and best practices in pupil transportation,” Burns said.

Those who subscribe or renew between now and Dec. 1 get a rate of $115/year, and can add up to six copies mailed to the same address for $15 each.

Active subscribers receive a personal access key to the Legal Routes website, where they can read every article ever published by Legal Routes. Also, subscribers can e-mail myroadmap@legalroutes.com at any time with a question for Burns.

“In any economy, that’s a real deal,” Legal Routes Publisher Roseann Schwaderer said. “But right now — when so many in pupil transportation are new to the job, and others are stretched to the max from cuts in staff — it’s smart money that relies on the best information on law and compliance, training practices and HR issues.”

For more information, and to subscribe, renew and request a copy of Things We Know, go to www.legalroutes.com. Advance renewals are welcomed with the limited-time offer.
