In a memo to its dealer network, Blue Bird announced a 3.2% price increase effective immediately.

“Blue Bird understands the budgetary pressures on school district spending and has maintained prices since 2011, despite absorbing significant labor and material cost increases. However, as in all other manufacturing industries, after careful consideration we have been forced to share a small portion of the cost increases we have incurred over the past few years with our customers. We will continue to closely monitor market conditions as we deliver the best quality buses at the most efficient prices,” said Dale Wendell, chief commercial officer for Blue Bird.
