LEBANON, Ohio — KFOR-TV reports that a bus driver here resigned after a student said they were forced to sit in a hot bus in 90-plus degree weather with the windows up as punishment for misbehaving.

Police here told the news outlet that shortly after the driver picked up more students on the route, he or she allegedly pulled over and made the students sit in the bus with all the windows up. Police are looking for more details from parents who think there was harm or potential harm caused to their child while on board the bus.

The father of a student wanted to remain anonymous but said his daughter fell ill after her bus ride home and slept for hours.

It is unclear how many students were riding the bus at the time, according to KFOR-TV.
