Espar Climate Control Systems is now manufacturing the legacy Carrier AC 310 and AC 350 roof-mounted bus air-conditioning systems in North America.
In 2010, Espar’s parent company, Eberspaecher, purchased the assets of the Carrier Sutrak for Europe, the Middle East, Africa, India and Mexico. Espar Climate Control Systems, a provider of fuel-operated heaters in North America, initially accepted the responsibility to provide support for the Eberspaecher a/c systems being imported on Van Hool, Volvo and TEMSA coaches.
On Wednesday, Espar announced that it is now moving forward manufacturing the legacy AC 310 and AC 350 roof-mounted a/c systems, which company officials said are very popular in the school bus and shuttle coach markets.
These systems are currently distributed though industry partners American Cooling Technology/ProAir and TransArctic. The partnerships provide sales, installation and service support.
Espar is currently developing other systems for varied markets requiring primarily roof-mounted a/c systems.
