FREDERICK, Md. — Frederick County Public Schools (FCPS) has implemented a new way for parents to check for school bus delays.

The new school bus notification system, launched on Monday, displays the bus number, whether it is a morning or afternoon bus, the length of the delay and the schools affected. Bus delays will appear on the site if they’re 15 minutes or longer.

“It’s going to be a resource that will give parents real-time information via the FCPS mobile apps and www.fcps.org,” Communication Services Director Michael Doerrer said. “We’re very pleased to offer this new tool to our parents, families and students."

The district's free mobile app can be downloaded on the FCPS home page, www.fcps.org. It is available for Android and Apple devices.

The bus notification information is also available on this page on the district's website.
