SCHENECTADY, N.Y. — Transfinder was recently named one of the Best Places to Work in the Capital Region for 2013 by the Albany Business Review.

Transfinder received the award for companies with 50 to 75 employees, and it is Transfinder's first time making the list. Only 30 companies received the award, with more than 120 companies participating by submitting anonymous employee surveys.

"This is a great honor to receive such an award, as it can only be achieved by employees that recognize our company as a great place to work," said Antonio Civitella, Transfinder president and CEO. "We strive to create an environment where employees can be creative, collaborative and productive. But we also make sure to reward our hard work by celebrating together our achievements. We hope to continue to attract great talent to our workplace and the capital region."

In becoming one of the Best Places to Work, employees recognized the company's frequent celebrations of employee birthdays and accomplishments and competitive salaries.

Officials said Civitella surprised employees by giving the entire staff Dec. 23 off for surpassing revenue goals. Transfinder recently relocated to its new, modern headquarters on State St. in Schenectady.

Companies that received the annual award were honored at a luncheon in December at the Hilton Albany.

The Best Places to Work honor was one of several milestones that Civitella highlighted during his recent State of the Union company meeting.
