School bus sales in 2013 increased for the second year in a row, SBF research has found.
In the 2013 sales year (Nov. 1, 2012, to Oct. 31, 2013), there was a total of 36,073 school buses sold in the U.S. and Canada.
U.S. and Canadian school bus sales this year increased for the second year in a row. There were 36,073 school buses sold in 2013, compared to 32,034 units sold in 2012.

In the 2013 sales year (Nov. 1, 2012, to Oct. 31, 2013), there was a total of 36,073 school buses sold in the U.S. and Canada.
The 2013 total was 12.6% higher than that of 2012, in which 32,034 school buses were sold.
The 2012 total was an increase of 10.2% compared to 2011, which ended a five-year decline in school bus sales.
Breaking down the 2013 sales by school bus type, there were:
• 6,791 Type A/B units sold
• 25,218 Type C units sold
• 4,064 Type D units sold
