SCHENECTADY, N.Y. — Transfinder will soon unveil its Infofinder mobile application, which enables school personnel to access transportation information on the go.

Available for the iPad, iPhone and iPod touch, Infofinder mobile allows district personnel to document actual events — such as bus accidents or incidents on site — in real time on a portable device.

Users have the ability to immediately access and share information on students, vehicles, trips and stops, as well as display information or reports in the palm of their hand.

"Waiting for critical information on our students and their whereabouts is no longer acceptable when the capabilities for sharing that information are available today,” said Antonio Civitella, president and CEO. “This is why I am so pleased to launch our first mobile application for pupil transportation, empowering everyone in a district, from superintendents and board members to administrators, teachers and transportation supervisors, with immediate access to critical information."

Infofinder mobile will be unveiled at the 2012 STN EXPO in Reno, Nev., July 21 to 25.
