SBF named finalist for publishing award

The 2011 SCHOOL BUS FLEET Fact Book will contend against five other publications in the directories category of the Maggie Awards.

The annual competition, for trade and consumer magazines west of the Mississippi, will be held April 27 in Los Angeles. Media professionals gather to honor excellence in print and electronic publishing in more than 100 categories.

SBF won the Maggie for directories with its 2005 Fact Book. The annual issue features a variety of pupil transportation statistics, school bus specifications and contact information for industry organizations.

I don't think any group could be more deserving of this award than SBF; the volume of current, real-time information to assist those of us in the field is staggering. It must be an awesome task to not only accumulate all the data, but to arrange and present it in such a way as to be so ready, reliable, and relevant. We really value SBF's hard work, as much as we do this great publication.
