At least eight school buses have disappeared from five locations in St. Louis County and Jefferson County in the past year, according to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch.
None of the buses has been recovered, and authorities have been left wondering about the reason for the thefts and where the large, yellow vehicles are being hidden.
Police have notified the FBI. A St. Louis County sergeant said they haven't heard anything back about national concerns.
