MIDDLETOWN, Pa. — Twenty-four families who live on the route for a bus driver who lost her home in a flood gave her a holiday card containing gift cards totaling more than $1,000, The Patriot-News reports.

Susan Teyral, who works for Derry Township School District, has continued to drive her route after losing her home during Tropical Storm Lee in September. She and her family have been living at a friend's house while trying to work with an insurance company to rebuild their home.

Teyral told the newspaper that the gesture from the families was "really, really wonderful."
