WINCHESTER, Ky. — Several administrators from Clark County Public Schools boarded a school bus on Tuesday to take a tour of the county and learn about the area that the district serves.

Superintendent Elaine Farris told WKYT that some of the district’s administrators do not live in the county, so she wanted them to see the neighborhoods that the students live in and give them an idea of what the students experience as they ride the buses to and from school.

The bus tour took the administrators throughout the county to 12 schools.

"They had an opportunity to see some of our narrow roads and also to understand what our bus drivers do every morning so they can support our bus drivers and give them some love this year," Farris said.

The administrators told WKYT that the experience was a good way to relate to their students, and Farris said that she may make the bus tour an annual event.
