GLENVIEW, Ill. — Navman Wireless North America will host two free Web seminars next week geared toward informing public and private pupil transportation officials how they can reduce their operations’ costs, maintain profits and improve customer service when contending with tight budgets by using fleet tracking.

Tuesday, May 11, the company’s on-staff school bus fleet expert will host a seminar entitled “Reduce Per Pupil Transportation Costs,” and Wednesday, May 12, the expert will host a seminar entitled “Maintain Profits & Improve Customer Service.”

Both seminars will be held at 1:30 p.m. CST and will comprise a 30-minute presentation followed by a 15- to 20-minute question and answer session.

The presentations will cover an overview of fleet tracking and how it differs from GPS, the economies and ease of implementation, fuel and maintenance savings, reducing downtime and overtime expenses, using data to enforce policies and ensure safety, and improved productivity.

Success stories, along with strategies and suggestions for demonstrating the affordability of fleet tracking, will also be discussed.
