[IMAGE]97[/IMAGE]ALBANY, N.Y. — John Fahey has joined Tyler Technologies as a member of the consulting team for Versatrans.

Fahey recently retired from the Buffalo, N.Y. City School District where he was an assistant superintendent for 18 years. At Buffalo, he oversaw the district's $51 million per year transportation operation — the 36th largest in the nation.

At Tyler, Fahey will be part of the professional services team that consults with school districts regarding the efficiency, organization and overall effectiveness of their transportation operations.

"We are honored to have John join us," said Doug Hamlin, president of Tyler's Versatrans Solutions. "He has been instrumental in helping us improve our offerings over the years and is a friend to many of us here. He brings a level of experience that will benefit every one of our clients."

Fahey added, "The pressure on a transportation director to manage their operation professionally has never been greater. The K12 industry needs strong business partners, and I know from personal experience what a tremendous resource the Versatrans products and the Tyler family can be."

Fahey's first major task will be working with Boston Public Schools to help organize their implementation of Versatrans Routing and Planning.
