76 school bus fleets win EPA rebates
The $3 million in rebates will be used in replacing more than 200 older diesel school buses.
A total of $3 million is going to fleets across the nation in the 2014 School Bus Replacement Rebate Program.
WASHINGTON, D.C. — The U.S. EPA has announced the recipients of a total of $3 million in rebates to help replace older diesel school buses.
Seventy-six fleets across the nation were selected by lottery to share the funding in the EPA’s 2014 School Bus Replacement Rebate Program.
The rebates will be used in replacing more than 200 older diesel buses from school district and contractor fleets.
The rebate recipients have nine months to order new buses, scrap the old ones and submit paperwork to the EPA.
