WASHINGTON, D.C. — The application period for the U.S. EPA’s new school bus rebate program will begin next week, the agency announced on Tuesday.

The EPA will collect applications for the program, which was first announced in September, from Nov. 13 to Dec. 14.

A total of about $2 million will be available for rebates on new school buses to replace older buses. The program is open to both public fleets and private contractors.
