FORT VALLEY, Ga. — 2010 Blue Bird demo buses equipped with Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) technology are rolling off the line at the school bus manufacturer’s plant here.

More than 100 demo units are headed to authorized Blue Bird dealerships across North America for demonstration in their local market areas.

A spring and summer-long comprehensive North American Blue Bird SCR Demo Bus campaign kicked off in April. School bus industry officials will have numerous opportunities to see firsthand the benefits of the SCR system through dealer open houses, ride-and-drive events and private bus viewings, the company said.

“We are pleased to launch the Blue Bird Demo Bus Campaign. The fuel efficiency, simplicity and clean emissions on these buses speak volumes,” said Bill Danner, Blue Bird’s vice president of sales for North America.
