ALEXANDRIA, Va. — Members of the National School Transportation Association (NSTA) recently donated more than $2,100 to the St. Louis chapter of the Special Olympics.

The money was collected from participants of the “Heads and Tails” raffle that was held during the awards banquet at the NSTA Annual Meeting and Convention in late July, and from the sale of the old golf carts that were used for the School Bus Driver International Safety Competition.

NSTA engages in several efforts for its social responsibility program, including its work to raise money for the Special Olympics. Each year, the association collects funds for the Special Olympics chapter in the city where its meeting and convention is held. Next year’s event will be held in Baltimore.
