RENO, Nev. — Blue Bird Corp. is now accepting enrollment for a three-day technical training course that will be held here this summer.

The training, to be held July 28 to 30 at the STN Expo, will cover maintenance-related topics for all Blue Bird and Micro Bird buses. Subjects will include:

• Electrical
• Multiplex diagnostics
• Instrumentation
• Engine emissions
• Bendix ADB22X air disc brakes
• ROUSH CleanTech propane autogas fuel system

Company officials said that the training enables technicians to further their Blue Bird expertise and interact with other school bus technicians. The program will include guest training from suppliers, such as ROUSH CleanTech and Bendix.

Chuck Hazen, shop foreman for Washington Township Schools in Long Valley, N.J., completed a recent edition of the training.

“Blue Bird’s technical training was fantastic, and the in-depth information has already benefitted many of us in the shop,” Hazen said. “I would absolutely recommend the technical training to other school bus technicians — it’s well worth the time.”

Blue Bird officials said that space for the July program in Reno is limited, and those interested in participating are encouraged to register early. For more details, contact a Blue Bird dealer or go here.
