SCHOOL BUS FLEET has appointed Colorado pupil transportation veteran David Anderson to its editorial advisory board.

Anderson, the director of transportation and fleet service at Adams 12 Five Star Schools in Thornton, Colo., has worked to improve efficiency at his district and to help other districts do the same. For example, he serves as chair of the Metro Area Transportation Efficiency Study, a program that uses metrics to allow districts to compare themselves to others of a similar size and to find efficiencies.

Anderson also has school bus maintenance expertise, having started his career in the pupil transportation field in 1981 as a mechanic at Cherry Creek School District in Englewood, Colo.

Anderson also serves as Region 5 director for the National Association for Pupil Transportation. Last year, he was named SBF’s Administrator of the Year.

He joins eight other industry luminaries on SBF's editorial advisory board, which provides vital input for the magazine and website. Members give feedback on editorial content and often write their own thought-provoking commentaries.
