TIOGA, N.D. — Donald Widner’s school bus has a bed, a refrigerator, a gas range and a toilet. And it’s purple.

The Jamestown Sun recently ran a profile of Widner, 49, who has been living in the bus while working in construction and searching for high-paying oil field jobs in North Dakota.

Other amenities on the revamped bus, which Widner bought for $500, include a sink, a kitchen table, closet space and a heater. He can cook on an electric skillet that gets power from a generator on the back of the bus.
