TULSA, Okla. — School bus technicians and inspectors will compete to be named “America’s Best” here on Sept. 11 and 12.

The fifth annual competition will be held at Hydrotex Inc.’s Tulsa facility, which manufactures lubricants and fuel improvers.

The America’s Best contest includes a written evaluation and a diagnostics test. Inspectors also perform an actual inspection.

Additionally, the event integrates a variety of workshops covering components and systems on school buses.

The winning technician and inspector will each receive a scholarship, compliments of Bus Parts Warehouse and Zonar Systems, to attend the NAPT Conference & Trade Show in Myrtle Beach, S.C., in October.

America’s Best participants are selected by state or provincial associations or governmental agencies.

For more information, visit the NAPT Website at www.napt.org and click on “About NAPT” followed by “Awards.”
