Cummins hits landmark in 2010 engine production

After seven months' production of its EPA 2010 compliant engines, Cummins announces that it has built and shipped more than 20,000 units. The manufacturer’s heavy-duty and mid-range engines use selective catalytic reduction to meet the EPA standards.

The Connecticut legislation imposes a $2,500 penalty on anyone who falsifies a report on the maintenance of a school bus or removes an out-of-service sticker on a bus and uses it to transport students.

South Carolina DOE buys buses from Kentucky districts

Eighty-six used buses purchased at an auction will replace the state’s 26- and 27-year-old units. South Carolina’s superintendent of education calls on the General Assembly to conduct a comprehensive study of the state's overall tax structure and to develop an adequate revenue system to facilitate the allocation of funding for bus replacements more regularly.
Utah gears up for school bus tech competition

Senate committee passes school bus refurb bill

The measure would allow Georgia schools to use the same state funds for school bus repairs and refurbishments that are allocated for school bus replacement. If it is ultimately signed into law, it would become effective on July 1.
