FORT VALLEY, Ga. — Several Blue Bird Corp. employees have been promoted to new positions. The company also welcomed a new member to its leadership team.

Dean Coulson has been promoted to vice president of corporate planning and scheduling. Coulson joined the company in 2002 as director of corporate planning and scheduling, and recently assumed the responsibility of product warranty. Coulson also leads the School Bus Driveaway program.

Jeff Sanfrey has also been promoted — he will serve as vice president of corporate quality. Sanfrey previously held leadership positions as director of school bus assembly, chief engineer, current model engineering, and director of quality. Sanfrey has been employed at Blue Bird since 2007.

John McKowen has been promoted to senior director of fabrication. McKowen joined Blue Bird in 2007 as director of school bus quality. McKowen later assumed the responsibilities of materials management and manufacturing engineering. Most recently, he oversaw Blue Bird South’s fabrication plant as plant manager.

Trey Jenkins has joined Blue Bird’s leadership team as the senior director of supply chain in Fort Valley. Jenkins has more than 15 years of leadership experience in such areas as supply chain, design engineering, operations and project management.

Finally, Neil Carter has been named director of school bus assembly in the company’s Fort Valley operations. Carter has been with Blue Bird since 1975. Most recently, he served as production manager for Blue Bird’s North Georgia facility.
