Collins brings new Corbeil bus line to Canada

SOUTH HUTCHINSON, Kan. — Collins Bus Corp. is now offering a full line of school bus products to the Canadian market.

This new Corbeil-brand product line consists of the Quantum series of single and dual rear wheel buses, including the Quantum, Super Quantum, Grand Quantum and the MFSAB (Multi-Functional School Activity Bus).

Corbeil sales in Canada will be directed by Yves Lepine, chief operating officer for Collins Canada Inc. Collins Canada will also support and service all existing Corbeil buses in the field.

Collins Bus Corp., a subsidiary of Collins Industries Inc., markets three brands of Type A buses throughout North America: Collins, Mid Bus and Corbeil. Canadian dealers include Leeds Transit Inc., The Bus Centre and Western Canada IC Bus Inc.

    I think this line should use any electric stop arms including 5 series, 6 series, 7 series, and all series electric stop arms because I think all series electric stop arms works better than the old fashioned air stop arms.

California Governor Signs Child-Check Alarm Bill into Law

Gov. Jerry Brown signs SB 1072, also known as the “Paul Lee School Bus Safety Law,” which will require all school buses in the state to be equipped with child-check reminder alarm systems and for bus drivers to be trained on those systems.

The National Association for Pupil Transportation has developed an online platform designed to help pupil transportation providers track, analyze, and compare KPI data with peers who are similar to them and collaborate on solutions.

New NAPT Technology to Help Optimize KPI Data

The business intelligence platform will display actionable data in a user friendly dashboard and allow transportation directors to share it and collaborate on solutions. It will be unveiled at the association’s annual Summit in November.
