CHANDLER, Ariz. — The Chandler Unified School District’s transportation center will host the 8th National Special-Needs Team Safety Roadeo, scheduled for March 12.

The roadeo is hosted annually by the National Conference & Exhibition on Transporting Students with Disabilities & Preschoolers, which is sponsored by Edupro Group. The 14th Annual Conference and Exhibition will be held March 11-16 in Phoenix.

Edupro and the National Association for Pupil Transportation (NAPT) will manage and administer the 2005 roadeo, while the Pupil Transportation Safety Institute, which has conducted the roadeo since 1998, will serve as a contract agent.

Thirty-four driver/attendant teams from 14 states competed in the roadeo in 2004. Edupro and NAPT will tap local pupil transportation organizations, suppliers to the school bus industry and other relevant organizations to expand participation this year.
