How are you using the Internet to improve your program? I use the Internet frequently to get timely information straight from the source. I find the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration Website (www.nhtsa.gov) especially helpful in finding information to share at our monthly safety in-service meetings. Then we create our own routing directions, since the computer routes are not always the most direct. I also use the Internet to keep up with information from the California Association of School Transportation Officials (www.castoways.org). Unified School District The best thing about the Internet is the ability to find out what other school districts do with transportation.
