Brattain Bus Sales in Albany, Ore., has been chosen to serve the Type A school bus manufacturer’s customers in the state, while Harlow’s Bus Sales has been added in the state of Washington, along with five other states. In other news, the company announces that its SST/CST model series fully complies with the Colorado Rack and Load Test.

National Bus Sales, Trans Tech Bus Sales and Service of New England and Diamond State International have joined the Type A school bus manufacturer's national dealer group. Trans Tech Bus National Sales Manager Brian Barrington says these dealers provide “excellent customer service before, during and after the sale.”

Dan Daniels to join C.E. White Co.

Daniels, who announced last week that he will leave his position as president of Trans Tech Bus to be closer to his family, will serve as vice president of engineering and product development for the school bus seating manufacturer. Officials say the companies will work together over the next 120 days to ensure a smooth transition for incoming Trans Tech President John Phraner and Trans Tech customers.

John Phraner will replace Dan Daniels, who plans to leave the Type A school bus manufacturer before the end of the year to be closer to his family. Phraner spent the last 22 years at North East Fabricators as the general manager, and the company has been a supplier to Trans Tech.

The manufacturer's all-electric bus makes a stop at the Empire State Plaza in Albany on Thursday for a government VIP and media ride-along. Officials say the bus, which features an electric chassis from Smith Electric Vehicles, has a trip range of approximately 120 to 130 miles per charge and produces zero emissions.

Jose Vazquez is now director of operations and Andres Garcia is director of manufacturing for the school bus manufacturer. Vazquez has five years of experience in the school bus industry, and Garcia brings more than 26 years of experience in the school bus manufacturing industry to his new position. In other news, Trans Tech has added Wolfington Body Co. to its dealer network for the state of New Jersey.

Kings Canyon USD was the first district in the nation to receive an eTrans all-electric school bus from Trans Tech Bus. The district hopes to acquire five more within the next year.

Calif. agency to award $1M in grants for alt-fuel bus projects

Of the $1 million, $496,696 will go to Kings Canyon Unified School District in Reedley, and the rest will go to the San Diego Air Pollution Control District as part of the California Air Resources Board’s Advanced Technology Demonstration Project initiative. Kings Canyon’s grant money will fund two eTrans all-electric school buses, which will be among the buses the district loans out for trial operation at other school districts.
Trans Tech makes GSA’s list of approved vendors

The school bus manufacturer passes all U.S. General Services Administration testing standards and is placed on the list of approved vendors. Trans Tech can now sell its buses directly to federal agencies across the country.
Trans Tech expands dealership network

Five more dealers across the U.S. are now selling the school bus manufacturer’s products, including the new eTrans all-electric bus. The dealerships are Davey Coach Sales, MVI Group, Uebelhor and Sons Chevrolet, Cumberland International and RWC International.

Trans Tech President Dan Daniels says that the company has seen a “great deal” of interest in the bus coming from school districts in the state.
