STI celebrates Employee Appreciation Week

Student Transportation Inc. (STI) will hold celebratory breakfasts, catered lunches and barbecues, as well as award ceremonies this week in honor of its third annual event, with the focus aimed at giving employees the chance to express their appreciation for their colleagues. The nomination process for the company's second induction class of the STI Wall of Fame will also launch this week.
STI subsidiary unveils new transportation service

SchoolWheels Direct will provide its new direct-to-parent transportation service to charter and private schools in Charleston, S.C. Families with students enrolled at schools serviced by the subsidiary will now be able to sign up for the type of bus service they would like, choose a route, make payments and manage their account on the provider's website.

Officials for Student Transportation Inc. say that the entire process and customer response has gone so well that they were able to move up the closing of the transaction. Student Transportation’s subsidiary SchoolWheels Direct has been managing the operations of the fleet for the past month.
STI subsidiary takes over Atlantic Express’ California operations

Student Transportation Inc. (STI)’s SchoolWheels Direct will manage the California school transportation business of Atlantic Express until an asset purchase agreement is closed. Under the court-approved asset purchase agreement, Student Transportation of America (another STI subsidiary) may purchase Atlantic Express’ California assets, contingent on receiving various school district consents and final negotiations.
STI honors employees for safety excellence
